Aurinia actually grows best in the mountains. They are a popular plant to grow in rock gardens. They can grow to be anywhere from 6 to 12 inches tall.
It needs to be planted in the fall in order to grow in the spring. As I have said before, plant the seeds about 12 inches apart because they need space to grow.
You can also grow this plant by tip cutting. Cut the tips around the end of spring to the beginning of summer. Then plant the cultivars about 4 inches apart.
Aurinia Saxatilis does not need much to survive, other then plenty of sunlight. When you water them, do not water too much, as your plant will drown, and you certainly wouldn’t want that.
This is such a pretty plant to add to your garden and it is definitely a low maintenance plant, which is always nice. It will eventually grow to be a large beautiful addition to your garden.
